Although our region’s population continues to grow, there are no purpose-built inclusive playgrounds and recreational areas in the immediate region.

 

Once completed, the new Clarence Lions Inclusive Playground will:

• Enable children, adults, and seniors, including those with limited mobility, social, emotional and behavioral disorders, and/or Intellectual and developmental disabilities, to enjoy the playground.

• ​Improve the physical, emotional, and social health of children, adults, and seniors across Erie County.

• Exceed Americans with Disabilities Act standards for accessibility and fall safety.

• ​Act as a destination, attracting new families, visitors, and investment to  our region.
